BATTERIES FOR EMERGENCY LUMINARIES
GeneraL INFORMATION
If batteries for emergency-lighting purposes are based on other electrochemical systems, then it results in major problems and low battery reliability. For example, nickel metal hydride batteries can not be used for the floating service. This is caused by charging problems: a trickle charging with the timer is required after a quick discharge. In addition, nickel metal hydride batteries have a narrow temperature range (between 0 and +40°C.) A different electrochemical system is used in lead batteries which should be handled with an outmost care: the battery can be charged only above the freezing point in a temperature range between 0 and +40°C and shall not be placed near spark-generating devices (near switches, fuses, etc.) because a combustible gas is discharged during the battery charging.
Our company manufactures special batteries for emergency luminaries.
Bely Svet batteries are made of nickel-cadmium cells spot-welded on special equipment according to the standard technology.
Various battery configurations, voltages, and capacities allow to use this product for emergency luminaries and UPS units of all series and modifications.
Voltage: between 1.2 V and 12 V
Capacity: between 1.5 A*h and 4.5 A*h
Coating: shrink film
Operating temperatures: between -25°C and +65°C
Cells are selected, tested, and trained prior to use in the battery. Batteries contain only nickel-cadmium cell batteries of high-temperature series with a special floating service feature.
Bely Svet batteries can be utilized in emergency luminaries of other manufacturers where nickel-cadmium batteries are used. Batteries can have connectors for convenient replacement.
